Product Data

The modern 2-component tile paint is a highly opaque and impact-resistant water-based paint. Thanks to the special composition, the 2-Pack tile paint sealant is solvent-free. The 2-Pack tile paint can therefore also be used in living spaces without any odor nuisance.

Improved adhesion of tile paint can be achieved by sanding the surface with fine sandpaper (180-240 grit) and priming with our Wall floor tile special primer W708.

The tile color is applied with a roller or brush.

Basically two coats should be applied.

We also recommend our 1-Pack tile paint for surfaces without direct water contact. The application of W713 tile paint is even easier, the paint has a satin finish.

For the SHINY finish, we recommend the W712 SHINY Paint for ceramic floor wall tiles. For the last coat, Epoxy Sealer W734 Colorless floor protector for concrete is recommended, but BE CAREFUL!!! it gives the SHINY aspect to your surface.

Optimal Processing Conditions

Optimal processing conditions are between 15 - 25°C and a relative humidity of 30 - 60%.
High temperatures and low humidity shorten the drying time, while low temperatures and high humidity extend the drying time.
Do not process in direct sunlight to avoid too rapid drying of the paint and the formation of bubbles on the surface.
Do not paint when it is windy to prevent dust from settling on the surface before it dries.

Which tool is the right one?

For water-based paints, acrylic varnishes: flock roller or a short-pile lambskin roller, brush with synthetic or artificial fiber bristles
For solvent-based paints and varnishes: short-pile rollers (for example Vestan rollers) that do not trap air, natural bristle also called China bristle
For floor coating: lint-free paint roller
For facades: masonry brush, also called painter’s brush, or a simple paint roller
For PU varnish: paint rollers made of mohair, pile, velour, smooth felt, Royal, Rolloplan. Foam rollers are unsuitable!

How do you clean tools?

It depends on the materials you have worked with:

If it was a water-based product – you can manage with water
If it was solvent-based – use a universal thinner

Cleaning tools contaminated with epoxy resins is a bit more complicated. You should always weigh up cost vs. benefit:

Cleaning brushes, rollers, mixing cups, etc., is not worth it. The cost of cleaning agents is already significantly higher than using new tools. For simple tools, it is better to let them harden and use new ones.
When cleaning expensive tools, you should keep in mind that work equipment must never be cleaned with solvents or thinners. Even the smallest traces of solvents on the tools can prevent the epoxy resin from curing in your next project. In this case, all your work would be in vain.

Why is the paint or oil not drying?

Possible reasons:

At temperatures below +15°C / above +25°C and humidity over 70%, the drying time is extended
A thick layer of paint takes longer to dry
Products such as cleaners or degreasers can slow down the drying time
Both components of the epoxy paint are poorly mixed or incorrectly distributed

The surface is still sticky after a few days of drying. What can I do?

Possible reasons:
If the paint was applied thickly or the excess oil was not removed from the surface, the wood may remain sticky.

What to do:
You can use a soda lye with warm water or sand the surface mechanically and then reapply the paint or oil.

Wir werden nochmal einen 3 Anstrich machen, da einPaar kleine stellen nicht richtig gedeckt sind aber ich denke dies lag an uns. Erstes Ergebnis Mega gut und ich bin echt froh es gemacht zu haben

Die Farbe ist echt ihren Preis wert und echt super hab damit mein Bad die Fliesen gestrichen die Fliesen einfach mit Desinfektionsmittel vorher sauber gemacht und es hält Einwand frei

Laut Beschreibung verwendet und hält top auf der Kellertreppe. Mehrere Anstriche sind nötig, damit es gut deckt, aber das ist vollkommen okay.

Vorsicht bei glasierten Fliesen

Wer wie ich eine große Fläche mit glasierten Fliesen lackieren will, sollte sich das gut überlegen. Ich bin am Küche renovieren und habe einen Fliesenspiegel der vom Boden bis zur Decke geht, so ca 15m² und das mit glasierten Fliesen. Abschlagen wollte ich nicht, da die Fliesen völlig in Ordnung sind. Also lackieren und wie der Hersteller hier angibt, Rückstandslos abschleifen und dann nur mit diesem 2k Lack überstreichen. Klingt simpel ist es aber nicht. Mit normalen Schleifpapier und Excenterschleifer geht gar nichts. Habe dann in sündhaft teure Diamantschleifpads investiert. Damit ließ sich die Glasur abschleifen aber Rückstandslos schier ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Habe mich dann auch mit einem Profi Maler unterhalten und der sagt auch, das glasierte Flächen sehr schwer zu beschichten sind. Nach dem Gespräch mit ihm und dem Hersteller des Lacks, hab ich mich dazu entschlossen noch den Spezialreiniger und die Grundierung zu kaufen. Jetzt ist der Lack aufgetragen und hält scheinbar. Optik ist super, auch wenn die Farbbeispiele vom Hersteller nicht sehr aussagekräftig sind. Absoluter Nachteil ist aber die Empfindlichkeit der Oberfläche. Ich weiß nicht ob es an der rauen Grundierung liegt oder an der matten dunklen Farbe aber man sieht jede Art von Flecken, sowohl Staub als auch Wasser- oder Ölflecken. Das abreiben mit trockenem Tuch hinterlässt Spuren der Fasern an der Wand. Deshalb einen Punkt abzug. Ich überlege das ganze im Bereich Herd und Spüle mit einem Klarlack zu versiegeln, was dann aber nicht matt ist und auch noch die Farbe dunkler macht.Fazit: In meinem speziellen Fall wäre das Abschlagen billiger und einfacher gewesen und das sollte jeder vorher bedenken. Das Ergebnis ist gut, hat aber auch seine Nachteile. Würde ich in diesem Rahmen nicht wieder so machen. Grundsätzlich würde ich bei glasierten Fliesen davon abraten, da passt das Kosten-Aufwandverhältnis nicht. Bei anderen Fliesen aber bestimmt ne super Option.LG
