The SL400 by WOLFGRUBEN WERKE is a quick-drying, highly water-resistant and scratch and impact-resistant swimming pool paint. A top coat with lightfast, non-toxic pigments, non-saponifiable resin and plasticizers.

NEW IMPROVED RECIPE:

SL400 is now completely FREE OF CHLORINE RUBBER and therefore clearly environmentally friendly to manufacture, low odor and free of harmful solvent vapors. In its new, state-of-the-art form, the SL400 is also significantly more resistant to oils and fats (such as sun lotions and creams from bathers), which chlorinated rubber-based paints can dissolve.

The SL400 is also suitable for protecting fish ponds!

For coating surfaces made of concrete, foil or for refurbishing older objects that have already been coated with chlorinated rubber paint or are exposed to permanent water pollution after the coating has dried.

POOL PAINT is a quick-drying, highly water-resistant, abrasion-resistant as well as scratch- and impact-resistant SWIMMING POOL PAINT. The paint offers a lightfast coating with non-toxic pigments, which contain unsaponifiable resins and plasticizers. For coating surfaces made of concrete, plaster, masonry, foil or old paintwork. Old coatings should be roughened well before processing. After complete drying, the coating is ideally suited for long-term exposure to water outdoors, e.g. fountains, ponds, swimming pools, pools.

Optimal Processing Conditions

Optimal processing conditions are between 15 - 25°C and a relative humidity of 30 - 60%.
High temperatures and low humidity shorten the drying time, while low temperatures and high humidity extend the drying time.
Do not process in direct sunlight to avoid too rapid drying of the paint and the formation of bubbles on the surface.
Do not paint when it is windy to prevent dust from settling on the surface before it dries.

Which tool is the right one?

For water-based paints, acrylic varnishes: flock roller or a short-pile lambskin roller, brush with synthetic or artificial fiber bristles
For solvent-based paints and varnishes: short-pile rollers (for example Vestan rollers) that do not trap air, natural bristle also called China bristle
For floor coating: lint-free paint roller
For facades: masonry brush, also called painter’s brush, or a simple paint roller
For PU varnish: paint rollers made of mohair, pile, velour, smooth felt, Royal, Rolloplan. Foam rollers are unsuitable!

How do you clean tools?

It depends on the materials you have worked with:

If it was a water-based product – you can manage with water
If it was solvent-based – use a universal thinner

Cleaning tools contaminated with epoxy resins is a bit more complicated. You should always weigh up cost vs. benefit:

Cleaning brushes, rollers, mixing cups, etc., is not worth it. The cost of cleaning agents is already significantly higher than using new tools. For simple tools, it is better to let them harden and use new ones.
When cleaning expensive tools, you should keep in mind that work equipment must never be cleaned with solvents or thinners. Even the smallest traces of solvents on the tools can prevent the epoxy resin from curing in your next project. In this case, all your work would be in vain.

Why is the paint or oil not drying?

Possible reasons:

At temperatures below +15°C / above +25°C and humidity over 70%, the drying time is extended
A thick layer of paint takes longer to dry
Products such as cleaners or degreasers can slow down the drying time
Both components of the epoxy paint are poorly mixed or incorrectly distributed

The surface is still sticky after a few days of drying. What can I do?

Possible reasons:
If the paint was applied thickly or the excess oil was not removed from the surface, the wood may remain sticky.

What to do:
You can use a soda lye with warm water or sand the surface mechanically and then reapply the paint or oil.

Lieferungstermin eingehalten. Unser Pool war nach 26 Jahren in einem sehr schlechten Zustand! Hätte eigentlich eine totale Renovierung notwendig gehabt! Aber wir haben einfach drüber gestrichen. Und sieht doch ganz gut aus! Farbe ist sehr schön und lässt sich leicht verarbeiten! Mal schauen wie er nächstes Jahr aussieht! Aber bei dem Preis und die unkomplizierte Verarbeitung, streiche ich ihn nächstes Jahr nochmal! Hab mit Rollen und Pinsel gearbeitet

Very good quality paint

I like this paint but make sure you plan to paintthe entire pool with one tin of paint, do not mix paints manufactured from different years as the colour shade can be different. Otherwise it’s a very good pool paint!!!

Super Farbe zum 2. mal gekauft

Also ich kann sagen das die Farbe super zu verarbeiten war.ich habe auf den blanken Beton gestrichen war ca nach 2 Stunden nach dem ersten Anstrich trocken konnte den 2. Anstrich starten. Das bei einer Aussentemperstur von ca 20 bis 25 Grad.Es war ein 10 Liter Eimer bei einer Fläche von ca 40 m3 . Dies 2 mal mit Rolle aufgetragen und habe noch ungefähr 2 Liter als Reserve.Also Daumen hoch,ist weiter zu empfehlen.Hallo Leute :::::Muss auch zum 2. Mal sagen , schnelle Lieferung alles perfekt heil geblieben. Und die Farbe wie immer gut.Das die Farbe nicht ewig hält wenn diese das ganze Jahr mit Chlor und andren Reinigungsmitteln in Verbindung kommt ist doch klar.Sie muss halt eben jedes Jahr erneuert werden.Sonnst sollte man über ein Fliesenbecken nachdenken.
